Meet Brian S. Hoyt, MD
Brian S. Hoyt, MD grew up just south of Lynden and is a graduate of Meridian High School. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Brigham Young University with a degree in neuroscience. Dr. Hoyt then attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston where he received honors in all his coursework and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. His dermatology residency and dermatopathology fellowship were completed at Dartmouth-Hitchcock in New Hampshire. After practicing in Idaho for three years, Dr. Hoyt is happy to call Whatcom County home once again.
When not at work, Dr. Hoyt enjoys hiking, cycling, snowboarding, working in the yard, and spending time with his wife and five wonderful children.
A Family Tradition . . .
Dr. Brian Hoyt was born in Spokane, WA while his father, Dr. John Hoyt, was completing his medical internship at Deaconess Hospital. The Hoyt family subsequently moved to Bellingham where Dr. John Hoyt worked as a pathologist at Northwest Pathology/Avero Diagnostics.
Thirty years later, Dr. Brian Hoyt returned to Spokane to complete his medical internship at the same hospital where he was born.
And now, Dr. Brian Hoyt is pleased to overlap his career/workplace with his father once more.
